Winter Quilts in the Wild
One of my absolute favorite things to do with quilts in winter (other than snuggle in them of course) is to take photos of them in the snow!!
I love perusing the hashtag #quiltsinthewild over on Instagram. There are some seriously gorgeous pics over there!
And here are some of my own Quilts in the Wild Photos!

Square Dance Quilt in the snow
I try to take a quilt with me whenever I know I’m going somewhere that would be an amazing backdrop.
Or even a not-so-amazing backdrop.
I took these pics in Sardine Canyon on the way to Logan, UT.
Luckily my mom is a very willing quilt photographer!

The fun thing about this specific outing though, was that me and my sister were celebrating my Mom’s birthday!!
We did our own shop hop to different quilt stores along the Wasatch Front in Utah. We started up north and worked our way from Logan down to Ogden. And when most of the stores found out we were celebrating my Mom’s birthday they even gave her a discount!

New Favorite Store
We found a new store called Bertha and Beulah’s in North Ogden. It was such an adorable store! We came just before closing time, but they allowed us plenty of time to look around and drool over the gorgeous store. They also had treats and candies at the check out counter!
Bertha and Beulah's
Bertha and Beulah’s is located east of the freeway in North Ogden in an old home-converted-to-store. The store is named after the family’s two great aunts who loved to sew and quilt. It’s one of my new favorites!

Village Dry Goods
We also stopped at Village Dry Goods in Brigham City, UT. The name of this store is not obviously a quilt or fabric store, but it is! It had an amazing quilt on the wall in civil war fabrics. I immediately fell in love with the design and bought the last kit they had in the store!
We got to celebrate my son’s birthday with a winter outing in February as well!! He has been obsessed with snow cats (the snow vehicle, not the animal) and has been asking to ride in one for months!
So for his birthday, we made that happen! And of course, I brought a quilt along. Lol!

This is me working on some hand sewing in the cab of the snow cat. It was actually a pretty smooth ride, although a bit loud!
We got to ride snowmobiles, sled down a giant hill, and I even got my hubby to take a #quiltsinthewild snow pic!

The snow was hip deep on him, so I’m extra impressed that he could hold the quilt up as high as he did to get such a great shot!

May Finishes and Life Changes
It’s been a hot minute since I’ve posted on my blog… life has become hectic and seemingly unpredictable for me. As it turns out, we will be moving again! *Again*.
