New Pattern for the Month of Loveš
February is such a fun month because of all the Valentineās candy, activities, and cute cards. I love seeing red and pink hearts everywhere! Which is one of the reasons Iām loving this new pattern so much!
I mean, just check out how cute it looks on my quilt shelf above my couch!!
This pattern came to me quite suddenly, and I knew I had to get it written up as quickly as I could so people could play with it during the month of Valentineās Day.
This pattern has a similar block layout to one of the quilt blocks from the Sew Easy block of the month Quilt along from two years ago. However, thereās one major difference! This pattern has rectangles of fabric as āspacer blocksā to give it a modern feel.
And because Iām such a sucker for Star blocks, I couldnāt make a quilt pattern without some star points in it. Which works out nicely, because it makes our stamp block in the bottom, right hand of the quilt.
I also got to show this quilt off in a sneaky way! As a national educator for Handi Quilter, they sometimes have me come into their recording studio as a collaboration with other amazing sewing companies.

The project I taught for SMP Live focused on a project you could finish on the Longarm so I made a table runner. I used the leftover HSTs from the heart blocks and turned them into pinwheels!

I havenāt finished the binding on it yet. But weāll get there! The other fun part about this project is the chenille yarn. Itās super soft, but even more fun to play with using the couching foot on the Longarm! Youāll have to check the video to see what I mean. (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wFhuRdInseY)
You can see that āBe My Valentineā was made with yarn – it was stitched down with the Longarm! Itās such a fun process and can liven up any project. And now I have a matching table runner to go with my quilt.Ā
