Hey quilters! This block is coming at you a bit early. Happy early Christmas!
I was hoping to get it to you before December so you could focus on all the other fun sewing that comes with this time of year.
Fall is in the air! Leaves are changing color! And we have the perfect fall block for you!
This is the Maple Leaf Block on Point.
September means kiddos are back in school, the season changes are coming, and geese will soon be migrating for the winter!
Which brings us to our block this month: Flying Home!
This is a pretty quick sew if you’re used to the No Waste Flying Geese method. We’ve used it a lot around here, so hopefully you’re comfortable with it!
The block this month is called Hot Cross Buns. It’s sometimes know as the Saw Tooth block, but because that name is usually connected to the Sawtooth Star (and we’ve already done that block), we’re changing up the name a bit.
For those of you that have been around for a while, you may have noticed how much I love star blocks. They are my favorite and I can’t stop obsessing about them! This star block is no exception. It is a pinwheel Sawtooth Star.
But this month is extra fun because we are using two fabric and time saving techniques: No Waste Flying Geese and Four at a Time HSTs!
